Rafael Nadal will be looking to step his game up a level in Wednesday's second round tie.

After a sluggish opening performance on Monday in which he was lucky not to drop a set, the Spaniard will be looking for a more clinical win against Lukas Lacko.

Lacko, a Slovak with a decent forehand, enjoyed a much more comfortable passage to the last 64 than Nadal, winning in straight sets (6-4 6-4 6-0) against Leonardo Mayer.

20/1 to cause a major shock and beat Nadal, Lacko competes a lot of the time on the challenger tour. He has only recently broken into the top 100 and has enjoyed some reasonable early season form, including reaching the quarter-finals in Chennai.

This match is only going to go one way, but Nadal will be looking to send a message to his rivals - something which is almost as important in the early rounds of slams for the big names than the win itself.

At 1/200 to reach the third round, backing Nadal isn't really worth bothering with, but the 1/5 on a straight sets victory for the defending champion may be of interest to some.
