Vesna Manasieva has been the surprise package of the 2011 Australian Open, with the young Russian qualifier beating 15th seed Marion Bartoli in the second round to set up a clash with Latvian Anastasija Sevastova on Friday.

Sevastova has, herself, caused a few upsets in Melbourne, beating both Polona Hercog and Yanina Wickmayer en route to the third round. The world number 46 could be in for a break-through year in 2011 and although she lost her only previous meeting with Manasieva, in a Wimbledon qualifier in 2008, she should beat the 19-year-old on Friday, at odds of 1.62 at Boylesports, and set up a last 16 clash with world number one Caroline Wozniacki.
