According to the latest australianopen.com fan poll, five-time Australian Open champion Serena Williams is the narrow favourite to win this year's women's title.
Just under 24 per cent of voters chose Williams to win this year's women's crown, despite coming into the tournament with injury niggles.
Kim Clijsters and Petra Kvitova both received a 20% share of the vote, while local hope Sam Stosur was picked by 8%.
A total of 8% also voted for 'other' players, with the mist popular including Maria Sharapova, Li Na, Caroline Wozniacki and Victoria Azarenka.
