Voters in our latest poll picked Juan Martin Del Potro as the most likely to make a surprise appearance in the men's final.

Wednesday's australianopen.com poll asked readers who would be a surprise finalist in the men's competition.

Over 41 per cent of respondents believed Del Potro was the most likely to make a surprise appearance in the men's final.

Second favourite was Tomas Berdych with 20% of the vote, and close behind was up-and-coming Serb Janko Tipsarevic, who attracted 18% of voters.

Twelve per cent believed Alexandr Dolgopolov Jr can make the men's showpiece event, while a further six percent felt a different player could make the grade.
