World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki has comfortably defeated Romania's Monica Niculescu 6-2, 6-2 in their third round match at Hisense Arena on Friday.
The Dane put in a much more convincing performance than her last effort against Georgian Anna Tatishvili, finishing the match in 76 minutes to advance to the fourth round.
Wozniacki was aggressive at times, hitting 23 winners to Niculescu's 14, and also finding three aces. She also made sure to take the chances presented to her - converting seven of eight break point opportunities.
The victory was Wozniacki's third win over Niculescu in three outings.
More to come.
