Murray won’t face the heat against Granollers

Andy Murray will have the benefit of a cooler night-time environment when he faces Marcel Granollers in Thursday's second round of the Australian Open. Cooler conditions will please Murray who played Pavel in the first round during the hottest part of the Australian day.

The temperature is forecast to reach 30C during Thursday, but conditions will have cooled by the time Murray's tie begins sometime after 0930 GMT.

Fellow Briton Elena Baltacha will play 2006 champion Amelie Mauresmo in the first match on Court Two at 0000 GMT.

Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams are among the others playing on Thursday.
