Federer wants his "No.1" status back

It has been quite a while now, but somehow it still doesn't sound right: "World No.2 Roger Federer". "Roger Federer, the second seed". When Nadal took the top spot and World number one spot the tennis world waited for Federer's reply.

Federer wants to reply by winning the Australian Open 2009. After the disappointment of last years open when a bout of glandular fever wrecked his winter training and left him running out of puff in the semifinals against Djokovic. Federer wants to set the record straight. Djokovic and Nadal ran away with all that he held dear last year until he was able to restore a little order by winning the US Open. This year, he wants to set the pace at the start of the season and stop th eyoungsters in their tracks.
