David Ferrer v Milos Raonic - Australian Open live stream - watch now

David Ferrer faces the challenge of Canadian youngster Milos Raonic in the fourth round of the Australian Open

David Ferrer faces an unusual task here in Melbourne. At a glance, he’s been fortunate to draw one of the last unseeded players left in the competition. Unfortunately for the Spaniard, the challenge that he’s faced with isn’t quite so straightforward, as Raonic has been on scintillating form all week and currently leads the competition for highest number of aces.

Raonic entered this competition as the world No. 152, though this is all set to change. He’s really making a name for himself in his maiden Australian Open outing, and his achievements so far have been incredible given that this is only the second time that he’s been involved in the main draw of a slam. So far he’s defeated Bjorn Phau, No. 22 seed Michael Llodra and No. 10 seed. Mikhail Youzhny. It might be a stretch to think that he can defeat Ferrer as well, though on current form anything seems possible for Raonic.

David Ferrer is the World No. 7, and has plenty of experience at this level. He made the quarters here in Melbourne back in 2008, and stands a good chance of repeating that feat this time around. Even so, there’s no denying that this could turn out to be one of the most thrilling matches of the tournament to date.
