Australian Open final - Andy Murray v Novak Djokovic live stream

Andy Murray goes for his first Grand Slam title against Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open. It is the first major final since 2008 without Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal.

Djokovic is the man in form and he's been playing and talking with the confidence of a man who knows what he takes to win a major title. The 2008 champion has not lost a match this year or even a set !  The Serb has spent many years in the shadow of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, but now 23, he's approaching his peak years and there are signs the tide could be turning.

Djokovic saw off Federer in straight sets in Thursday's semi-finals. The first two were pulsating and could have gone either way but at crucial times it was Djokovic who came up with the big serves and screaming winners.

For Murray, a nation expects. Much has been made of Britain's 75 year wait for a male Grand Slam champion and maybe this is finally the moment when he delivers the major title he's promised for the last few years. He's come close in two finals before but this time there's no Federer to dash his dreams.

However can he deal with the pressure. He froze a little in the US Open final three years ago and again in Australia last year. To beat Djokovic in this vein of form he will need to replicate the sort of tennis which saw him obliterate Jurgen Melzer for the loss of just five games in the fourth round. He knows what it takes having beaten Djokovic in their past three matches but can he execute it in the biggest match of his life.

It's the first Grand Slam final without Federer or Rafael Nadal since 2008. Since then, Djokovic and Murray have both established themselves as the leading pretenders and it promises to be a fascinating rivalry between the two over the next decade.

Expect a tense one but Djokovic has looked so good throughout the tournament and our prediction is to see him triumph in five.
