Andy Murray produced a superb performance as he booked his place in the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2010 on Tuesday
The Scot beat defending champion Rafael Nadal 6-3 7-6 (7-2) 3-0, with the Spaniard being forced to retire through injury early in the third set after both had put on a stunning show at Rod Laver Arena.

Shortly after the match ended, Murray was cut to 6/4 favourite to win the Men's singles, with Roger Federer out to 7/4.
Murray will now face Marin Cilic on Thursday (0830 GMT) for a place in the final.
The first set was a fierced contested battle, with Murray showing more aggression than usual. The set lasted close to an hour before Murray won it 6-3 on his third set point.
The second set was again hard fought, with Nadal two points away from levelling the match before Murray took it on the tiebreak.
It was clear that Nadal, who was the slight outsider going into the match, was struggling as the third set started. He called a medical timeout after the opening game to have treatment on his right knee, then after Murray went 3-0 up, decided he could not continue.
"If I play like I did tonight I have got a good chance (against Cilic)," said the British number one afterwards. "The nerves are going to be there because it is the chance to make the final of a Grand Slam but I lost to him at the US Open so I will be looking for revenge.
"Cilic is obviously a big guy so I am going to keep the ball low."
Number 14 seed Cilic became the first Croatian male to reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open after he fought back against Andy Roddick to win in five sets.
In a thrilling battle that lasted nearly four hours, the Croat won 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 3-6 2-6 6-3 to book his place in the final four.
It was the third time in five matches this year that Cilic - who beat Murray last September at the US Open - has been taken to a fifth set.
"It wasn't easy. I've got experience to be here in this situation now," said Cilic after the match. "I just had a few extra gears in the last set. It wasn't easy.
"I was struggling on serve, he was putting pressure on me and I didn't know what to do. But point-by-point I worked back."
Looking ahead to his semi-final clash and whether his long battles to date will affect him, the 21-year-old added: "I can go one more. Why not?"
Murray v Cilic takes place on Thursday and Oddspreview.com will have a preview of the semi-final showdown before the game.
