Australian Open - Jo-Wilfried Tsonga v Philipp Petzschner live stream

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga starts his 2011 Australian Open campaign against German serve-volleyer Philipp Petzschner.

Tsonga has a fine record at the Australian Open. In 2008 he stunned everyone, powering his way to his first Grand Slam final, defeating Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray along the way and he enjoyed a fine run to the semi-finals last year, taking out Novak Djokovic in the last eight.

So Tsonga is definitely to be feared down under and after recovering from a knee injury which forced him out of the back end of the 2010 season, he has started this year strongly, reaching the semi-finals in Doha.

Petzschner is a tricky first opponent, his unorthodox serve-volley style takes a while to adjust to but to be honest his attacking game is more suited to faster, lower bouncing courts. A baseliner of Tsonga's class should be able to pick him off with ease after a while on the medium paced hard courts of Melbourne Park.

Petzschner never enjoys his greatest successes at this time of year and 2011 has been no different. He's won just a single match so far and it will be a surprise if he takes a set off Tsonga.
