Ladbrokes have pushed out the price of Andy Murray winning his first Grand Slam event after an expected patriotic punt failed to materialise. The firm were 9/4 about the 'form horse' in men's tennis following his sizzling start to 2009 and were expecting a flood of bets. But after the flood turned into a trickle they have pushed him out to 3/1 ahead of his opening game in the tournament tonight (Monday). At the time of writing they were top price about the top four in the betting, including 5/2 favourite Roger Federer who joined Novak Djokovic in second round on the opening day. Spokesman Robin Hutchison: "We expected to be fighting off Murray supporters at the door after all the experts said he was red hot. "But the man in the street has not followed their advice and we are looking to take him on as a consequence." Murray is 5/6 to win a Grand Slam this year, 11/8 to win one and 66/1 to win all four.
